Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) import requirements for pesticides and devices can be difficult to understand. For example, did you know that equipment used to apply pesticides, when sold separately, is not subject to regulation under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA)? An important feature of the NCBFAA Government Affairs Conference (GAC)

The Department of Justice, Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on July 26 issued a joint compliance note focusing on the voluntary self-disclosure policies that apply to U.S. sanctions, export controls, and other national security laws, including recent updates to certain of those policies.

The Teamsters on July 25 reached a tentative agreement with UPS to avert a strike that had been scheduled to take place Aug. 1 if an agreement could not be reached. The new five-year agreement includes raised wages for all workers, creates more full-time jobs, and includes dozens of workplace protections and improvements.
