Created by the Transportation Export Compliance Subcommittee, the export reference tool explores the Government Agency requirements for exports. Called an "excellent" guide by NCBFAA members, the tool outlines the agencies involved in export trade, their mission and the products subject to export requirements. The tool provides useful links to websites, permits and contacts.
The RAC created the APHIS Core Toolkit in 2020 to help brokers get ready for ACE mandatory filing of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)-Core PGA Message set. The APHIS Toolkit assembles the vast array of APHIS resources all in one place for brokers to use to meet APHIS' sometimes daunting requirements. Today, most brokers are familiar with the APHIS-Core ACE filing requirements. This Toolkit remains a useful resource to help train new employees or to refresh your understanding when you have new clients with products subject to APHIS-Core.
Created by the RAC, the tool provides a top-level overview of all the active Partner Government Agencies (PGAs) with concise descriptions of their mission, commodities regulated, and key requirements for imports with links to forms, contacts, and guidance for importers and customs brokers. The import reference tool met with rave reviews from NCBFAA members, who find it to be a valuable resource for navigating the complex PGA import requirements.
The RAC created the Organics Toolkit in 2024 to help brokers who are importing organic products. Beginning March 19, 2024, the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) National Organic Program (NOP) will implement a new, expanded Organics rule to enhance the integrity of the organics supply chain. While AMS will begin with a phased enforcement approach, importers and customs brokers must be prepared.
Created by the RAC, the Russian Seafood Toolkit provides an overview of Executive Order 14114 which prohibits “…fish, seafood, and preparations thereof, that were produced wholly or in part in the Russian Federation, or harvested in waters under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation or by Russia-flagged vessels, notwithstanding whether such fish, seafood, and preparations thereof have been incorporated or substantially transformed into another product outside of the Russian Federation.” This toolkit provides guidance and answers important clarifying questions.
