Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has scheduled an ACE Production Environment deployment for Phase 1 of the Apply Aluminum 232 Duty to Russian Smelt or Cast enhancement to occur April 10.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is gearing up for its upcoming e-filing Beta Pilot, which will begin in the fall. The Commission is now working to finalize the CATAIR and to onboard importer and customs broker participants in the pilot.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced March 30 that the new requirements for reporting the countries of smelt and cast for imports of aluminum and aluminum derivative products effective on April 10 have been delayed 30 days to May 10.

During a Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) presentation sponsored by the LACBFAA, one of the CPSC presenters surprised customs brokers by recommending that they upload documents, including testing certificates, for every entry that goes "Under Review." This contradicts previous communications from CPSC.
