The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is reaching out to manufacturers and importers to warn about the increased incidence of fires or other overheating events involving "micromobility products.”

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Dec. 16 announced the Jan. 9 launch date for the Document Imaging System (DIS) Pilot for Used Self-Propelled Vehicles (USPV) Export Document Submission.

The Transportation Department’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) on Dec. 21 published its final rule revising the Hazardous Materials Regulations for lithium cells and batteries transported by aircraft. The rule becomes effective Jan. 20.

Effective Jan. 1, administration of CBMA benefits for imported merchandise entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption on and after Jan. 1 transfers to the Treasury Department, specifically the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).
