Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said on March 4 it successfully deployed the ability to mask trade employees’ social security numbers (SSN) and organization Tax ID numbers in the modernized ACE Portal.

The Customs Broker Modernization Regulations, which took effect Dec. 19, include a requirement for a customs broker to notify Customs and Border Protection (CBP) when the customs broker separates from a client that is intentionally attempting to defraud the U.S. government or commit any criminal act against the U.S. government.
