The National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America finalized its new officers and board members for 2026 through 2028 during its annual conference April 12-15. Karen Damon, vice president of regulatory compliance at Mohawk Global, was elected president, and Steven Powell of C.H. Powell Company, vice president, the NCBFAA announced April 17 in its weekly Monday email.
Laurie Arnold, of JAS USA, is secretary and Len James, of John S. James Co., is treasurer. Former president Jose D. Gonzalez becomes chairman of the board.
The new board also includes, in order of areas represented: Jerrod Nutt of A.N. Deringer, Charlene Riley of J.W. Allen and Company, Mark Tedesco of John A. Steer Company, Ralph De La Rosa of Imperial Freight Brokers, Merit Tremper of Merit Trade Consulting Services, Lori Azzopardi of EFI Logistics, Melzana Wilson of the Global Zolutions, Eduardo Lozano of Eduardo E. Lozano and Company, and Patty Tschaepe of J&K Fresh.
