  • CBP Updates Guidance on Payment of Duty on International Mail Shipments

    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Sept. 22 provided updated guidance as it relates the July 30 Executive Order 14324, “Suspending Duty-Free De Minimis Treatment for All Countries,” which took effect on Aug. 29. The EO said de minimis duty-free treatment under 19 U.S.C. § 1321(a)(2)(C) will no longer be available for shipments entering into the U.S. not covered by 50 U.S.C. § 1702(b), including those entering through international mail.

  • Entry Summary Limit Increase for Statements in ACE Production Oct 7

    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recently released an enhancement in the ACE Certification (CERT) environment to increase the maximum number of entry summaries on a statement from 2,000 to 9,999. CBP plans to deploy this enhancement in the ACE Production (PROD) environment on Oct. 7.

  • ACE Portal Updates to Enable Electronic Refund Enrollment Deploying Sept 30

    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Sept. 30 will update the ACE Secure Data Portal to support electronic refund transactions, in accordance with presidential Executive Order 14247. “The enhancements will enable authorized trade users to provide U.S. bank information in the ACE Portal, facilitating electronic refunds from CBP via Automated Clearing House (ACH),” CBP said.

  • CBP Issues WRO Against Taiwanese Bicycle Manufacturer Giant

    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Sept. 24 issued a Withhold Release Order (WRO) against bicycles, bicycle parts, and accessories manufactured in Taiwan by Giant Manufacturing Co. Ltd, based on information that reasonably indicates forced labor use.

  • USDA Announces Referendum on Mango Program, Ends Regulations for Imported Walnuts

    Sep 26, 2025
    The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is conducting a referendum from Oct. 22 to Nov. 12, 2025, for eligible first handlers and importers to vote on whether the Mango Promotion, Research and Information program should continue. In addition, AMS has suspended regulations for imported walnuts to align them with changes to the domestic marketing order.

  • Port of Long Beach – Mississippi Vessel Incident Update

    Salvage operations continue at the Port of Long Beach at Pier G following the Sept. 9 container incident involving the containership Mississippi. Some container movements are delayed because of this incident, including unaffected containers on the vessel.

  • CBP Updates to Bond Amount Reporting in K1/K2 Output Records of Importer/Bond Query Deploy Sept 25

    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said it will deploy on Sept. 25 an enhancement in the ACE Production (PROD) environment to enable reporting of bonds amounts with up to 10 digits for the Importer/Bond Query.

  • NCBFAA Urges OMB to Prioritize U.S. Trade Processing in Event of Government Shutdown

  • U.S. Supreme Court to Hear Two Cases Related to IEEPA Tariff Legality Nov 5

    The U.S. Supreme Court on Sept. 18 released its upcoming schedule in which it will hear oral arguments on Nov. 5 related to two pending cases challenging the legality of the issuance of President Trump's IEEPA tariffs. The two cases are Learning Resources, Inc. et al. v. Trump, President of U.S., et al. (No. 24-1287) and Trump, President of U.S., et al. v. V.O.S. Selections, Inc., et al. (No. 25-250).
