NCBFAA Webinar: From System of Record to System of Action: The Next Shift in Freight Forwarding Software

From System of Record to System of Action: The Next Shift in Freight Forwarding Software

Thursday, November 19 at 12 PM ET

For decades, freight forwarding software has primarily served as a platform to store and manage shipment data, while operations teams still spend hours manually processing documents, preparing customs filings, tracking shipments, and updating customers. AI is changing that, but as forwarders adopt new tools, a key question is emerging: should they bolt AI onto their existing legacy systems or move to software with automation built in from the ground up?

In this webinar, Bryan Lacaillade, CEO and Co-Founder of Freightmate, will explore the shift from traditional systems of record to AI-native systems of action that automate work across the shipment lifecycle. Attendees will learn where AI is delivering value today, the trade-offs between bolt-on and native automation, and practical steps to evaluate and safely adopt new technology. The session will conclude with a live demonstration of AI-powered freight forwarding software in action.

Presenter

Bryan Lacaillade: Bryan Lacaillade is CEO and Co-Founder of Freightmate, AI-native freight forwarding software that runs forwarding operations and automates the busywork. Bryan has 14 years of experience building logistics technology at Manhattan Associates, GEODIS, Amazon Global Logistics, and Flexport, with the past decade focused on freight forwarding automation.
