AACA Webinar: ICS2 in Action: Bridging U.S. Air Cargo and EU ComplianceE

Join us for a webinar on Oct 20, 2026 at 11:30 AM EDT.

The European Union’s Import Control System 2 (ICS2) is reshaping how advance cargo information is collected, shared, and assessed for shipments moving into or through the EU. For the U.S. air cargo community, understanding these requirements—and the responsibilities of each party in the supply chain—is essential to maintaining compliant, secure, and efficient cargo flows.

Join AACA for a practical discussion of ICS2 from both sides of the Atlantic. American Airlines, a U.S.-based airline, and BDO Customs & International Trade Services, an EU freight forwarder, will share their perspectives on how ICS2 requirements affect shipment data, filing responsibilities, operational processes, and coordination among shippers, forwarders, airlines, handlers, and European authorities.

The discussion will explore what information must be provided, who is responsible for providing it, when data must be transmitted, common operational challenges, and how better data quality and collaboration can help prevent delays and disruptions.

Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how ICS2 impacts the end-to-end air cargo journey—from shipment origin in the United States through arrival and clearance in the European Union—and what their organizations can do to be better prepared.

Moderator: Donna Mullins, VP, Kale Info Solutions / AACA Advisory Board
Panelists:
Lorna Kelly, Director & VIP Customs Clearance, BDO Customs & International Trade Services
Vicente Herrera, Manager, Cargo Customs Compliance, American Airlines

**NEI CES Continuing Education Credits have been requested**
