In February, the Food and Drug Administration launched the second phase of its Artificial Intelligence Imported Seafood pilot, which is designed to enhance and improve the agency's ability to identify imported seafood products that may pose a threat to public health. In this phase, the FDA is applying the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning model algorithm in the field to help FDA staff decide which shipments to examine.
