Networking

NCBFAA hosts two conferences annually to educate our industry representatives and promote professional collaboration. 

  • NCBFAA Annual Conference - member discounts for registration and exhibits. The Annual Conference brings together more than 600 of the international trade industry's top representatives from around the United States. For four days the nation's leading customs brokers, freight forwarders, NVOCCs, OTIs, and service providers gather to update themselves on industry developments and connect with colleagues new and old.

Advocacy

NCBFAA committees, counsel and representatives keep a close watch on the legislative and regulatory issues that affect the industry. 

  • Legal and regulatory guidance: NCBFAA legal counsel, committee members, and subject matter experts are all dedicated to understanding the minutiae of international trade and have developed detailed toolkits that guide our members through current regulations and specific requirements.  Board Area Reps are also available to assist members who may need guidance.
  • Ongoing communication to and from federal partners 

Training

The NCBFAA Educational Institute provides educational opportunities to our members and the larger trade community. NEI’s certification and continuing education programs strengthen regulatory compliance and increase professionalism for industry participants.  

  • NEI discounts - substantial member-only savings on certification programs including CCS, MCS, CES, and MES. Discounted continuing education is offered throughout the year to maintain certification and satisfy triannual requirements. Savings for members run close to 50% in discounts offered to members
  • Free credit earning webinars offered each month 
  • NEI is one of only five CBP approved accreditors for continuing education
