Fany serves as the primary operational and product management driver behind Descartes’ US Customs Brokerage and International Trade Management web solutions.  Starting as a software developer over 26 years ago, Fany joined Descartes Systems Group through an acquisition and oversees multiple development teams.  She recently moved to Product Management of Descartes US CHB and FTZ applications.

In addition, Fany is an industry thought leader and serves on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)’s Trade Support Network (TSN) Executive Committee. Furthermore, she is a Technical Advisory Group member as well as a Trade Ambassador representing software vendors in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) projects.  Fany has participated in multiple ACE and Partner Government Agency (PGA) working groups.

She is currently a trade leader in CBP's Ocean House Bill Release working group and is also participating in CBP's ACE 2.0, De Minimis, eBond and Ocean AMS Streamlining working groups. She recently integrated into the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones (NAFTZ) and is currently participating in a few of their committees.
