Headquartered in the Washington DC metro area, the NCBFAA represents more than 1422+ member companies with 110,000 employees in international trade - the nation's leading freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean transportation intermediaries (OTIs), NVOCCs and air cargo agents, serving more than 250,000 importers and exporters. The Association’s members handle more than 97% of the entries for goods imported into the United States and are directly involved with the logistics of these goods. Further, members operating as OTIs are involved with approximately 80 to 85% of all exports from the United States.

  • President Trump Warns 100% Tariff for Canadian Goods

    Jan 24, 2026
    President Trump in a Truth Social post on Saturday, Jan. 24, said he will seek to impose a 100% tariff on Canadian goods, if Canada enters a trade deal with China. The NCBFAA Customs Committee and Counsel of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., will monitor the potential imposition of this tariff, as well as related Customs and Border Protection (CBP) guidance, and provide updates to our members as soon as its available.

CBP Webinar: Forced Labor Portal Overview

U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Office of Trade is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. ET titled Forced Labor Portal Overview. This webinar will conduct an overview to train users on the usage of the new Forced Labor Portal that launched on January 21, 2026. 

 

It is now a mandatory requirement to use the Forced Labor Portal for the submission of the following types of review requests:

  • Withhold Release Order/Finding admissibility reviews.
  • Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act applicability reviews.
  • Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act requests for exception; and
  • Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act exception requests.

 

The Portal is available at  https://flportal.cbp.gov/s/login/. Questions regarding this portal should be directed to ForcedLabor@cbp.dhs.gov.
