Affiliated Presidents Network
The APN facilitates the sharing of information, communication and common issues among local associations and the NCBFAA.
Annual Conference Planning Committee
Responsible for planning and executing the various aspects of the NCBFAA's National Conference.
Auditing Committee
Responsible for reviewing the results of the Association annul fiscal audit and reporting such results directly to the Board of Directors. This report should include any recommendations regarding changes in fiscal or management practice discussed by the audit firm.
Budget Committee
Responsible for developing and monitoring the annual budget and finance process.
Bylaws Committee
Responsible for preparing recommendations to update and revise the bylaws at the annual meeting as needed.
Carrier Best Practices Committee
Provides a venue for carriers, brokers and intermediaries to determine the most efficient ways to facilitate and coordinate freight movement in international commerce.
Communications Committee
Charged with overseeing the NCBFAA’s communication initiatives related to its corporate website.
Customs Committee
Responsible for recommending policy and strategy to the Board of Directors with regard to customs brokerage issues coming before the association. Provides direct linkage to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection on many programs of special interest. Those members listed as representing specific NCBFAA Areas are the nine voting members of the Committee; all others are non-voting, subject matter experts who assist the Committee in its deliberations.
Customs Committee, Subcommittee on Automation
Responsible for providing recommendations to the Customs Committee on U.S. Customs and Border Protection automation programs and initiatives. Provides direct linkage to U.S. Customs and Border Protection on automation programs.
Drawback Committee
Responsible for addressing U.S. Customs and Border Protection drawback program issues and activities. Provides direct linkage to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection on drawback issues.
Freight Forwarding Committee
Responsible for recommending policy and strategy to the Board of Directors with regard to export freight forwarding issues coming before the association. Provides direct linkage to the Federal Maritime Commission and U.S. Customs and Border Protection on many programs of special interest.
Freight Forwarding Committee, Subcommittee on Airfreight
Responsible for providing recommendations to the Freight Forwarding Committee on various airfreight forwarding issues of concern to the association.
Freight Forwarding Committee, Subcommittee on Automation
Responsible for providing recommendations to the Freight Forwarding Committee on export/forwarding automation program and initiatives. Provides direct linkage to the Customs Service on export automation programs.
International Relations Committee
Responsible for providing liaison and recommendations regarding international programs and organizations.
Large Broker/Forwarder Committee
Legislative Advocacy Committee
Responsible for maintaining a grassroots legislative advocacy system and providing planning oversight for the Government Affairs Conference.
Membership Committee
Responsible for developing and implementing programs directed at membership recruitment and relations. Also responsible for developing member benefit programs and oversight of membership programs.
NCBFAA Education Institute Committee
Responsible for all educational programs for the organization. Also oversees credentialing for these programs.
NCBFAA/AAEI Committee
NVOCC Committee
Recognizes the increasing role of NVOCCs in the NCBFAA and provides NVOCCs a forum to develop and present ideas and responses on matters of concern to the NVOCC sector as well as in furtherance of the interests of the NCBFAA membership at large
National Advisory Committee
Nominating Committee
Responsible for soliciting and presenting nominations for service on the NCBFAA Board of Directors and Executive Officers.
Officers' Committee
Senior management team for the NCBFAA.
Political Action Committee Board of Governors
Responsible for oversight and management of the NCBFAA Political Action Committee.
Regulatory Agencies Committee
Responsible for liaison with federal regulatory agencies other than U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Federal Maritime Commission. Provides direct linkages to more than 30 agencies and government bodies.
Scholarship Committee
Responsible for conducting NCBFAA's Annual Scholarship program.
Security Committee
Responsible for monitoring private and public supply chain security initiatives and overseeing the NCBFAA’s official response. Also serves as the NCBFAA’s liaison to organizations involved in these efforts.
